![]() That doesn't help much and Im sure I have done this before?Īnyway I found my original drivers CD that came with the Hauppauge Card cleaned out the old drivers and re-installed them. VirtualDub can't capture very well from most of the hardware encoder capture cards. If I select Device 0 - Microsoft WDM Image Capture (Win32) VFW I get a video screen and I can capture but the file is massive as it defaukts to 320 x 240 24 Bit RGBīut at least I know my connections are OK.Īny ideas how I can get this setup working? I downloaded a later release of virtual dub 1.9.8 and also AVISYNTH 2.5.8 and huffyuv 2.1.11 and followed the guide again but still no joy. When I select Capture Video a Capture Error window appears with the message "Unable to start video capture" Hauppauge Win TV 88x Video Capture (DirectShow) but when you select this device no video screen appears just the grey Virtualdub background although it does say Connected to capture device at the bottom of the screen. I used a guide on this site but it was an old link that contained old versions of the software required, I followed the guide but when selecting my device which is listed as: I am capturing from a TV with built in VHS that has a SCART output (the only working VCR that I have) and have a SCART to Composite connected into the Composite connector of the Hauppauge. I have a Hauppauge HVR1300 MCE TV Card and need to capture from VHS to convert to AVI and DVD.
